As Growth Manager for Mbeya, you’ll drive this impact across agricultural value chains in Southern Tanzania — launching strong partners, growing loan portfolios, and protecting repayment quality.

What you’ll do
You’ll be the enginedriving partner performance in Mbeya and the wider Southern Tanzania region —scouting new cooperatives, launching them successfully, and ensuring strongconversion and disciplined repayments.
This is ahigh-responsibility, field-heavy role. You will spend significant timetravelling across Mbeya and Southern Tanzania to work with partners, boards,management teams, and lead farmers.
Growth and Business Development
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard promising cooperatives andagribusiness partners
- Represent Emata at industry events and partner meetings across Mbeya and Southern Tanzania
- Grow the number of eligiblefarmers and responsible loan volumes across your region
Conversion and Portfolio Performance
- Monitor MIS usage, lendables, loan volumes, and repayment scores
- Drive structured follow-up to improve conversion
- Work closely withCollections team to protect portfolio loan quality
- Lead relaunches or corrective action where performance drops
Growth without repayment discipline is not success. You own both.
Product and Field Feedback
- Collect structured feedback from users
- Test prototypes and new features with partners
- Ensure field realities shape product improvements
You might be the one if you are...
- 5+ years in businessdevelopment, agribusiness, microfinance, rural field operations, or a relatedgrowth role
- Confident engagingcooperative boards and senior partner teams while remaining effective duringfarm and field visits
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track performanceand turn insights into action
- Highly organised,disciplined with CRM use, and able to manage a regional growth pipeline
- Fluent in English and Swahili
- Willing to travel extensively across Mbeya and SouthernTanzania
